Kinnaird for every season

Kinnaird changes with the turning of the year, revealing a different face to each season and offering guests the prospect of a very different experience whenever they return. In spring, the woodland that surrounds the house is carpeted with bluebells and an abundance of other wildflowers. In summer the sun is high over the heathlands with twighlight lasting late into the evening and as the season changes to autumn, the woods and house look their most magnificent, putting on a fiery display of colour that glows in the richer autumn light. In the crisp winter months, Kinnaird's celebrated warmth of hospitality takes a more literal turn. A fire in every bedroom keeps the cold at bay and the blazing log fire in the Cedar room creates a focus for the long evenings. Frost etches the branches of the trees and a fall of snow will turn the hills into a winter wonderland. This is the time for traditional hospitality which centres around the celebration of Christmas and, of course, Hogmanay.
