Cycling

The quiet country roads around Kinnaird are perfect for cycling whether you are a cycling enthusiast or just want to enjoy a leisurely day out in the beautiful Perthshire countryside. Kinnaird Estate is close to Cycle Route 7 from Glasgow to Inverness, which goes along Loch Tay, through Aberfeldy, Pitlochry and on up to Blair Atholl and Killicrankie and Cycle Route 77 from Dundee to Pitlochry which travels through Perth before heading up beside the Tay to Dunkeld and Pitlochry. Both of these routes offer great cycling in lovely countryside, not too hilly with lots of interesting sites along the way. Both can be made into day trips by returning on the same route or making a circular route on quiet roads. We are also close to the route of the annual Etape Caledonia road race. There are a number of bike operators in Highland Perthshire where you can hire bikes, obtain bike route advice and also have your bicycle serviced and repaired. See www.cyclehighlandperthshire.com for more information.
